JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – In the pre-dawn hours of Sunday, a couple of people were trying to push a car out of the road south of Jacksboro on Main Street.

Campbell County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brandon Gross and Deputy Preston Mullins were already on the scene when Deputy Joseph Weaver arrived to assist.  Weaver reports that Brandon Hale was among the people trying to push the car, and Hale was unsteady on his feet, had slurred speech and glossy eyes.  Hale allegedly told Deputy Weaver that he’d had eight beers.

Gross asked Hale about what happened leading up to the car being stalled in the road. Based on the report, that’s when Hale charged at the sergeant in a threatening manner. As a result, Hale was placed under arrest.

The 25-year- old Hale, Crutchfield Lane, Caryville was charged with public intoxication (PI) and disorderly conduct. He was released on a $1,000 bond and is due in General Sessions Court on April 27. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/09/2021-6AM)
