Man shot to death. CCSO & TBI investigating.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Reports coming in to WLAF are that one person is dead this morning and another person was detained following a late Sunday afternoon shooting on Murrayville Road. However, there is no record of an arrest in the case.

Just before 5:30 pm, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department and the Campbell County EMS responded to the call of a shooting near Norris Lake in south Campbell County. It’s believed that the man died at the scene.

Sheriff’s Office investigators answered the call Sunday at 5:20 pm and cleared the scene around midnight.

The TBI was called in and is assisting the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/08/2021-6AM)
