Former Campbell Lady Cougar in action in Wednesday’s mid-day quarterfinal AAC Tourney game against Truett McConnell, a Bryan win.

KINGSPORT, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – The Bryan College Women’s Basketball took the court at the Meadowview Convention Center for their first game of the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament.

The No. 1 seed Lady Lions came into the quarterfinal matchup to battle against No. 8 Truett McConnell Bears. The 3pt shot has been Bryan’s biggest strength all season, but they could not buy a bucket from long range in the first half. The Lady Lions went 1-11 for a disastrous 9%. After going into halftime with a 33-27 lead, Bryan was looking to get things rolling in the 2nd half. The offense began to flourish, thanks to big buckets from Shayla Ludy. The Lady Lions fought for a 77-63 win to advance to the semifinals.
