Mrs. Laura Taylor, age 73, of Jacksboro, went home to be the Lord on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.  She was a faithful member of LaFollette Church of God, and a dear Mother, Granny, Sister, Aunt, and Friend.  Laura loved her God, family, church, and everybody was her friend.  Preceded in death by Husband of 39 years, J. B. Taylor, Parents, James Carl Gibson and Idessa McCullah Powell, Sisters, Anna Gibson Arnspiger and Lois Gibson Ridenour, Brother, Jeptha Allen Gibson. 

Survivors:   Son, John Taylor and wife, Jennifer; Grandson, Barton Taylor; Sisters, Joie Gibson Leavitt, Dr. Rita Gibson Patterson, Trena Smiddy and husband, Ed, and Sandie Gibson; Sisters-in-law, Cynthia Taylor and Sharon Finch and husband, Bob; Brother-in-law, David Taylor.  Several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Friday, February 26, 2021, 7:00 P.M. at LaFollette Church of God with Bishop Michael Dent and Rev. Ed Smiddy officiating.  Family and Friends will meet Saturday, February 27, 2021, 10:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for Graveside Services and Interment.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday at the Church before funeral services. 

It was Laura’s request that in lieu offlowers donations be made to LaFollette Church of God Missions, c/o LaFolletteChurch of God, 1906 Jacksboro Pike, LaFollette, TN  37766.
