JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – It’s the point of the season where opponents are very familiar with each other; district tourney time.

Campbell’s Girls play at home on Wednesday.

The Lady Cougars enter as the 4th seed and will host their first district tournament game on Wednesday at 7 pm on Brown Court. CCHS will face the winner of Monday’s Anderson (8th seed) at Clinton (5th seed) game. The Lady Cougars must win to keep their season going and to qualify for the region tourney.

For the Cougars, it’s a quarterfinal match-up of the winner of the Karns-Powell game that will be played on Powell’s Hunter Court on Tuesday. The winner of that game will travel to Brown Gym on Thursday to take on the Cougars in a 7 pm game. Like the Lady Cougars, a quarterfinal win is a must for the Cougars in order for their season to continue and to make it to the region.

Both the Cougars and Lady Cougars are in the upper half of the bracket, and a win in the quarterfinals pits Campbell against Oak Ridge in the semi-finals. Both the Wildcats and Lady Wildcats ran the table in the district regular season.

The WLAF-Doyle’s Tire Shop Sports Network will provide live televised coverage of Campbell’s quarterfinal games. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/12/2021-1PM-UPDATED 02/13/2021-2PM)
