Wlaf1450Mildred Louise Riggs Asher, 87, of Lafollette Tennessee died Saturday, February 6, 2021 at her home in Lafollette. Born March 24, 1934 to George Washington Riggs and Cleo Denton Hines. Mildred married Oscar Herbert Asher and settled in Arjay Ky. Mildred served as the Arjay Postmaster until her retirement. She was known for her infectious laughter, her generosity and her thoughtfulness. She loved the gospel and going to Church.
Rest in Paradise Mildred. Heaven has gained another angel.
She was preceded in death by father: George Washington Riggs, her mother: Cleo Denton Hines, her brothers: JWill, Howard, and Donnie, her sisters: Louvina, Bobby Jean, and her half-sister Nora, husband: Oscar Herbert, daughter: Linda, granddaughters: Amber and Desiree.
She is survived by
Her loving children: Brenda, Darlene, and Darryl. Her grandchildren Casey, Kenny, Whitney, Candice, Megan and D.J. To her many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Friday 1-3 PM Cross-Smith Funeral Home with Funeral Service following 3 PM Cross-Smith Chapel. Interment will follow service at Campbell Memorial Gardens.
