LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A storm system that changed its personality overnight has left a wet heavy snow across Campbell County in the early morning hours of Sunday. As a result, nearly 2,100 LUB customers are without power this morning.

“A wet, heavy snow came through last night and caused us quite a bit of trouble. We have nearly 1,700 customers out of power right now scattered across the entire system” said LUB General Manager. That was at 5 am. As of this moment, 2,040 customers are without power.

“We are hoping the snow stops and the temperature warms up quickly. We’ll be working throughout the day to get everyone’s power restored,” said Baird.

Temperatures are expected to hold in the 30s climbing to near 40 as skies gradually become partly sunny today. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/07/2021-5AM-UPDATED 10:30AM)
