LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Bethel Baptist Church pastor Dr. Clarence Duncan didn’t stick his toe in the water. He dove in when it came to dedicating hours, days, months, years and decades to ministering on radio.

Monday marked the start of Duncan’s 37 year of preaching the gospel on radio in Campbell County. February first was his first day on the air in 1985.

“In Timothy, he said “preach the word,” Duncan said. “And that’s what we’re doing” he added.

The numbers are looming when you look at 11,000+ broadcasts with 98% of those being live broadcasts. Duncan figures more than $200,000 has been spent over the years to spread the gospel on the radio and television in Campbell County.
