JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – A Chevy Tracker was found stuck in the mud with “three busted tires” just before midnight on Jan. 17 based on a report from Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Kendra Porter.

Porter answered the call of an accident involving a possible drunk driver AT 325 Hatmaker Ridge Road. The deputy talked with 21-year old Lucas Ballard, the driver of the Chevy, who told her that “he was driving and lost control of the Tracker.” Three of the tires were described by Porter as “busted,” and that the vehicle was stuck in a muddy yard.

In her report, Porter details that while speaking with Ballard of Jacksboro she noticed that he was unsteady on his feet, had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. Porter asked Ballard if he had been drinking, and according to the report, he told the deputy that “he’d drunk two or three beers before driving.

Ballard allegedly performed poorly on his field sobriety test and was placed under arrest for DUI (driving under the influence). (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/26/2021-6AM)
