LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – To say Howard St. John excelled in football, basketball and track during his days at La Follette High is an understatement.

“He was the best basketball player to go through Campbell County. Period,” said Bobby Heatherly, a freshman St. John’s senior year at LHS. Heatherly calls St. John the best shooter and punter he ever saw.

And about that punt. “He had a 75-yard punt against Oneida, and they returned it for a touchdown. Howard was blocked down five times and got back up everytime, Heatherly said.
