JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County High School’s Wanda Snodgrass (above) is WLAF’S Teacher of the week.  She teaches English I and English IV and has been a teacher for 15 years.

Snodgrass was a highly successful basketball coach at Jacksboro Middle School.

Snodgrass said she was inspired to follow a career in education after being a social worker with the Department of Children’s Services. “While with the DCS, I loved to do the in service trainings. I realized I wanted to teach and went back to school and got my Masters in Education,” Snodgrass said.

Her favorite part of being a teacher is getting to know the students and developing a lasting relationship with them.

Snodgrass said something positive from this year is that she has had to get out of her comfort zone and create new ways to engage with her students. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/21/2021-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF DAVID GRAHAM)
