JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Clinton Dragons visited Brown Gym on Saturday in a boys only afternoon of basketball. The girls game was postponed due to COVID-19 protocol for the Lady Dragons.

The Cougar JVs put together a second half rally to win 60-52 after trailing by nine points at halftime.

David Adkins 14 points topped the ledger for the Cougar JVs as Garrett Medley also made it to double-figures with a dozen points while Logan Day had five points in each half for a total of 10. Will Lester added nine, with six points a piece from Aiden Baird and Mason Shanks. Elijah McKinney finished with three.

Clinton pulled away late to defeat Campbell in the varsity boys game in a contest that was back and forth for a good while. The Dragons claimed a 62 to 51 victory.

John John Long’s 16 points led three double-digit scorers for Campbell as Nate Walden tallied 15 markers followed by 14 from Devon Jones. Spencer Boshears scored four with Seth Ward, who had a nice game defensively, putting up two points.
