JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Employees at the Town of Jacksboro will soon have the opportunity to purchase a discounted emergency membership with the AirMedCare network.

Steve Williams with UT Lifestar spoke to the board of mayor and aldermen last night to offer city employees a discounted rate of $65 per year versus the normal $85 yearly rate. Smith explained at last night’s Town of Jacksboro Board of Mayor and Aldermen monthly meeting that employees can purchase memberships up to 10 years or they can buy the membership yearly.

Advertisement of bids for the purchase of two sets of complete turn out gear for the fire department was approved. Additionally, bids were approved to advertise for bids for the purchase of $1,800 of fire department gear and 40 hours of in-service training.

A streetlight will be installed on Mt. Perkins Lane at Twist and Shout. The town will purchase four garbage truck tires from Jeff Herrell’s Mobile Repair Service and four pick-up truck tires from Doyle’s Tire Shop.
