CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – The Thacker Christmas Tree Inn’s big landmark Christmas Tree sign was taken down a few years ago, and now one of the original Exit 134 structures that sat along I-75 since around 1970 has been demolished.

Here’s a photo from around 1970 of the Caryville Cracker Barrel and below is the now razed former Cracker Barrel structure.

The building that originally housed the Cracker Barrel then later the Dinner Bell restaurant and eventually Monster Fireworks has been razed.

A new medical clinic is planned for the site. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/05/2021-8AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF CARYVILLE FIRE CHIEF EDDIE HATMAKER)

  1. Thanks Eddie for the great pictures. I am one of the new owners of the property and general contractor of the medical facility

  2. Will there be any new building or business built to replace it? The Caryville area has a lot of potential to be a beautiful area for businesses, housing, etc. It overlooks Cove Lake and the mountains. We need more people to invest.

    1. Thank you for your response, J.

That info is hidden away below the last photo.
