Lindon “Doc” Owens, age 80, of Jacksboro, departed this life on Saturday, January 2, 2021. He was born to the late Seborn and Odea (Stevens) Owens on January 1, 1941. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  Lindon enjoyed singing, country music, and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife Eileen Murry Owens, brothers Harley and Don Owens and sister Geraldine Owens.

He is survived by his sons Kenny Owens of Connecticut, Matthew Owens of Jacksboro, and Shannon Owens and wife Kate of Knoxville; brothers Esco Owens of Knoxville and Stephen Owens and wife Jean of Jacksboro; sisters Sharon Kay Miller and husband JC of Jacksboro and Mary Joeldean Fritz and husband Richard of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. JC Miller officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Queener Cemetery for a 11:00 AM interment.
