Jeanette (Gatliff) Barton, age 91, of the Tannery Hollow Community ofJellico, Tennessee passed away Sunday morning, January 3, 2021 at her home. She was born on September 13, 1929, to the late Rev. James Henry Gatliff and Nan (McKiddy) Gatliff Croley in Whitley County, Kentucky.
She was the granddaughter of the late Milton Gatliff and Sarah G. (Osborne) Gatliff and the late James McKiddy and Sallie (Patterson) McKiddy.
She was a long time member of Tannery Hollow Missionary Baptist Church. She had been a member of the Jellico Chapter # 215, Order of the Eastern Star since February 3, 1955.  She was a wonderful homemaker who kept everything in perfect order.  Additionally, she was also a great cook who excelled at baking and making candy.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Barton; great-grandson, Fisher W. Barton; three sisters, Geneva (Gatliff) Freeman, Ruth (Gatliff) Riggs, and Thelma (Gatliff) Riggs; two brothers, Marshall Gatliff and Lawrence “Chubby” Gatliff; nieces and nephews, Tommy B. Freeman and Kay (Gatliff) Campbell; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George Barton and Matilda (Green) Barton; sister-in-law, Hazel (Barton) Hackler Jones; and brothers-in-law, Harold Barton, Olan Barton, Ted Barton, and Truitt Barton.

She is survived by her son, Eddie W. Barton, and wife, Linda, of Jellico; grandson, Rev. E. Wayne Barton, II, and wife, Deana, of Jellico; granddaughters, Sara (Barton) Proffitt, and husband, Stuart, of Jellico and Susan (Barton) Anderson, and husband, Robert, of Williamsburg, KY; great-grandchildren, Raeanne Barton, Grace Barton, Luke Barton, Logan Anderson and Jacob Anderson; and brother, Howard Gatliff. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Linda Mae (Freeman) Young, Joyce (Freeman) West, Eddie Riggs, Rhonda Sue (Gatliff) Locke, John W. Riggs, Jr., Glen A. Riggs, David A. Riggs, June E. (Gatliff) Smith, Charles Ray Gatliff, Amanda Gatliff, Becky (Gatliff) Carpenter, Patty (Gatliff) Begluitti, Kim (Gatliff) Miracle, Lawrence “Larry” Gatliff, Jr., Jamie (Gatliff) Ruxer, Jimmy Barton, and Frances (Barton) Lewis; special nieces, Sandee Barton and Janice Barton; special friends, Jeffrey Kidd and Teresa “Terri” Smith; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of friends, neighbors and other relatives to mourn her passing.

Friends may call on Thursday evening, January 7, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside Services and interment will follow on Friday morning, January 8, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in Highland Park Cemetery, Davis Addition in Williamsburg, Kentucky with the Rev. Lester Cox & Rev. E. Wayne Barton, II officiating.
