Michael Warren Bolton, 56, of Habersham, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at LaFollette Medical Center. He was born Aug. 30, 1964, to Pryor and Agalee Bolton.  He was a faithful member of Shipley Grove Church of God Mountain Assembly.  Michael loved the Lord with all his heart. He will be sadly missed by a host of family and friends.  He was a loving gentle man who was kind to all. He was always willing to help others in need. Michael was known best for his ability to sing.  He ministered Gods word by song and prayer. He loved his brothers and sisters in Christ and strived to pray for them along this journey.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Pryor and Agalee Gothard Bolton, His grandparents, Roy and Thelma Gothard, Andrew and Delmar Bolton as well as Aunts, Lois Jean Malicoat, Liddy Mae Medford, Susie Jean Richardson, and his Uncles, John Gothard and Roy Wayne Gothard.

Although he will be very missed by those of us here, Michael would want us to move on and strive for our reward as he has done. Paul says in II Timothy 4: 7-9  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me.  This would be the scripture that Michael would want us to hold to.  We must keep to our course and fight a good fight to join our Precious Lord and Savior as well as loved ones gone before us. This would be his continued prayer for us all.

Michael is survived by his son, Justin Bolton of Clinton TN, Wife, Brittany Bolton of Speedwell, TN and stepchildren, Elijah and Brianna Hanley also of Speedwell TN.  Aunts, Brenda Bolton Hill of LaFollette, TN and Dixie Gothard of Jacksonville FL, Uncle, Ralph Malicoat of Habersham TN.

Graveside services to be held Saturday, December 26, 2020, 12 Noon at The Davis Cemetery in Stinking Creek TN.   Family and Friends will meet at the cemetery for the service.  Officiating is his pastor and friend, Rev. Rick Braden and Rev. Jay Walden, longtime friend.  Online condolences for Michael may be made at www.waltersfuneralhome.net.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Michael Warren Bolton.
