JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Deputies left out early on Monday morning bound for Dayton, Ohio. Later in the day, they returned with fugitive Billy Jay Randolph.

Billy Jay Randolph, of 3998 Cedar Creek Road in La Follette, was wanted in the November stabbing of 43-year old Donnie Bryant of Williamsburg.

Randolph, charged with criminal homicide in the death of Donnie Bryant, arrived at the Campbell County Jail around 4:30 pm on Monday.

Based on online jail records, Randolph, 48, was arrested by Dayton police and booked into the Montgomery County (Ohio) Jail around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 6. Until Monday, he’d been housed in the Montgomery County Jail.

Randolph, 3998 Cedar Creek Road, La Follette, was wanted in the November stabbing of 43-year- old Donnie Bryant of Williamsburg. Bryant’s body was found down an embankment on Cedar Creek Road in La Follette on the afternoon of Nov. 17. Randolph became the TBI’s suspect Dec. 1 and was named to the most wanted list.

According to CCSO Chief Deputy Matt Wasson, Randolph is being kept in an isolated cell. “He has no bond and is due in court on February 9, 2021,” said Wasson. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/16/2020-6AM)
