Wlaf1450Mrs. Lois Gibson Ridenour, age 84 of LaFollette, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 14, 2020. She loved her God, her church, and her family. Lois was a member of Friendship Community Church. She was always actively serving in the church, as Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher, and supporting missions however she could. She is preceded in death by husband of 63, Peony Ridenour. Her parents Carl and Anna Mae Gibson. Her grandparents Lydia and Jeptha Gibson. Her daughter Greta, sons: Carl Rayburn, Stanley, and Marvin Ridenour. As well as, two infant children. Grandson Randy Carroll Ridenour. Great-grandson Austin “Cody” Helton. Sister Anna Mae Arnspiger. Brother Alan Gibson.
She is survived by children: Marilynn Steakley of LaFollette, Charlsa Honeycutt of LaFollette, Melanie Ulmer and husband John of LaFollette, Tamara Johnson and husband Ricky of LaFollettte, Beverly Marlow of Oklahoma City, Greg Ridenour of Georgia, Ira and wife Diana of LaFollette, and Ponnie John Ridenour and wife LeeAnn of LaFollette. She also has a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Sisters, Joie Leavitt, Rita Patterson, Laura Taylor, Sandi Gibson and Trena Smiddy and husband, Ed.
Funeral Services Saturday, December 19, 2020, 2:00 P.M. at Friendship Community Church with Rev. Matthew Bolton and Mrs. Lois’ Grandson, Chris Honeycutt officiating. Interment to follow at Davis Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Saturday before Funeral Services at the Church.
