WHITE OAK, TN (WLAF) – The body discovered in a wooded area in northern Campbell County on Wednesday afternoon has been identified. Officials tell WLAF News that it is the body of 38-year old Christopher Joseph Marlow of Duff.

A couple of people cutting firewood in northern Campbell County stumbled onto a body Wednesday afternoon just before 4 pm.

The body was discovered on Hatmaker Hollow Lane, just off White Oak Road. Those first responding were told they’d need a four-wheeler to get the body.

On Wednesday night, Campbell County Chief Deputy Matt Wasson said, “The body is that of a white male. Family notifications are pending, and the identity of the deceased is not available for release.”

Wasson added that the cause of death has not yet been determined, and the death remains under investigation. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/09/2020-8:30PM)
