LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Cosmetic progress is being made at a couple of downtown businesses, and WLAF’s Charlie Hutson shares updated photos with us. Work began on the refurbishing of Prim’s Bakery and the Minton Sharp buildings in the spring for LUB while Smith Hardware’s indoor remodeling started last Monday.

The masons are finishing up the work on the outside of the new LUB building. The building on the left once housed Prim Bakery while the late Minton Sharp of La Follette Machine & Tool owned the building on the right.
Work is ongoing on the inside of both sections of the new LUB additions.
This first week at Smith Hardware many items are being shifted to a new location (lawn & garden) but owner Sherman Campbell and crew are helping customers find what they need.
Smith Hardware’s project is expected to be completed by around the first of the year.
