LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Galilee Bible Camp is hosting it’s first horseshoeing clinic. The clinic will be held Nov. 21 at 9 am at the camp.

Chris Thomas will be the farrier/clinician for the camp. He attended Oklahoma State Horsehoeing School and has shood horse for over 30 years. He has a great love for horses and a vast amount of expertise.

The clinic has three options and includes lunch and a snack. The first option is $50 for spectators with a limit of 50 people. Up next is the participant/horse trimming (limit five horses) $100 and the final option is participant/horse shoeing (limit six horses), $250. Registration for the clinic is due by Nov. 18.

Benefits to attending the camp are to learn about the relationship between the horse owner and farrier. Learn to care for your horses hooves and trim your own horse. How to put a horse shoe on your horse in a crunch and how to get started shoeing horses.

All proceeds from the clinic will go toward building a barn for the camp’s horse program. This is the first step in the program, next will be a riding arena.
