LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Boy Scout Troop 310 welcomes everyone to its “Celebrate Our Veterans Flag Retirement” ceremony at the Food City parking lot on Saturday, Nov. 14.

The event will run from 10 am until 1pm.

Joe Cronin rides his 2006 Harley- Davidson Street Bob back on Aug. 2.  The Cold War veteran from Caryville, who served our country in the US Army, turned up North Tennessee Avenue with Old Glory waving in the breeze.

“You are encouraged to bring your worn flags to be honored properly. Cotton and wool flags will be retired with honor, and nylon and polyester flags will be recycled into new flags,” said Scoutmaster Chris Thacker, BSA Troop 310-Cedar Hill Baptist Church.

Scouts will have boxes to receive veterans names to be recognized by WLAF. Simply write down a name or names of veterans and what branch of service, they belong to, if you know it.

Boy Scout Troop 310 is also supported by many first responders in Campbell County. The scouts invite everyone so stop by and tell them thank you for taking care of us in this difficult year.

“May God bless our Vets and first responders of Campbell County, and may God Bless America,” said Thacker. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/10/2020-6AM)
