JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Goal posts came down, and the grass that’s brown is going away. Work began to replace the natural grass Campbell County High football field on Monday. In its place will soon be a new artificial surface from SPORTURF.

The goal post Nick Bailey ran toward for the final score of the game when Campbell County defeated Oak Ridge for the very first time in 2013 came down on Monday.
Campbell Cougar Head Football Coach Justin Price and staff will not be spending Wednesdays striping the football field this season once the new field is in place.
Work began on Monday morning at the east end of Pat Kerr Field to install a new playing surface.
