Ed Comer, SFC, U.S. Army retired, age 85, of LaFollette passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020. He was a member of Long Hollow Baptist Church and a 50 year plus member of Campbell County Masonic Lodge #778 F & AM. SFC Comer was born May 31, 1935 in LaFollette, TN. He enlisted in the Army October 3, 1950 and served his country for 21 years. He served multitude tours in Korea, Europe and Vietnam. After retiring from the Army, he returned to LaFollette and worked at K 25 in Oak Ridge and later worked in construction. Preceded in death by wife of 58 years, Betty S. Wilhoit Comer; twin babies, Glenna Sue and Eddie Ray Comer; great grandchild, Lorelei Abigail; parents, William C. and Flossie Ann Goins Comer; brothers, Howard Comer and Carl P. Comer and sister, Evelyn Riggs.

The family request that everyone follow CDC guidelines by wearing a mask and practice social distancing.

Family will receive friends 12 Noon to 1 PM Friday at Sunrise Cemetery. Graveside and Masonic Services 1 PM Friday, at Sunrise Cemetery, Rev. Ronnie Joe Silcox,  Rev. Jared Meredith and Rev. Matt Howard  officiating. Military Honors by Campbell County Honor Guard, with Interment to follow.
