LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Woodson Shell (above) opened promptly at 6 am on Sunday and was robbed at gunpoint seconds later, according to officials with the La Follette Police Department.
LPD Detective Sergeant Charles Duff said, “The clerk said she arrived about 5:50 am to open for the day, and right after she opened, a guy came in and pulled a gun on her and demanded money.” The clerk described the robber as a short Hispanic male wearing a ball cap, a hoodie and black pants. She added that his face was covered with a mask.
“He left with an undisclosed amount of cash and headed toward La Follette on foot,” said Duff.
