Chickos (above) is experienced in a wide range of general surgery procedures and techniques. She specializes in minimally invasive procedures, including laparoscopy, endoscopy and colonoscopy. Chickos has a special interest in hernia, gallbladder, appendix and colon surgery. She performs surgery exclusively at LaFollette Medical Center.

Chickos earned her medical degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, OH. She completed an internship and surgical residency at Summa Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.   Chickos is board certified in general surgery. Prior to relocating to East Tennessee,  Chickos was a practicing general surgeon in Murphy, NC.

 “When I completed my residency, I knew I wanted to practice general surgery at a community hospital where I could get to know my patients and provide personalized care,” Chickos said. “I am excited to make Campbell County my new home and also offer my patients advanced surgical procedures, including those that can be performed through tiny incisions. This means a faster recovery and smaller scars. I am especially passionate about helping my patients attain the best quality of life possible and get back to their normal activities ASAP.”
