LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – In May, Ray Sisson, the job supervisor for Monolith of Knoxville on the LUB building project, told WLAF’s Charlie Hutson that they would use the old sandstone rock from the old Prim’s Bakery building on the new LUB complex.  That process had begun.

Some of the stone (ABOVE), that was cut by hand by P.J. Prim when he built his bakery more than 70 years ago, has already been laid along the front wall of the Sharp Building as the steel and concrete are coming along on the new addition.
It looks like some of the history of the old bakery building and some memories are being carried forward.  The project is scheduled for completion in 2021.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/05/2020-6AM – PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLIE HUTSON)
