LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Just after 3 am on Sept. 24, Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Timothy Powers noticed a silver Lexus traveling on the four lane near the high school with no headlights or tail lights.  RELATED STORY.

Powers began following the vehicle and did a registration check that showed it expired on May 31, 2019.  The registration on the vehicle showed an expiration of Aug. 2020.  At this point, Powers stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver who was the owner of the vehicle identified as Cody Lee Partin.  She did not have current registration or proof of insurance when Powers asked for it.  When asked if she had anything illegal, she stated no.  She handed a small black handbag to Powers to be searched.  Inside the bag, he found several used hypodermic needles for drug use and a pipe with burnt reside believed to be marijuana.

Partin, 42, 116 Chapel Drive, LaFollette was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of safety equipment, violation of TN financial law, violation registration law and other (removal of decal). (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/05/2020-6AM)
