DUFF, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Deputy Justin Phillips and Deputy Jordan Tolliver responded to a disturbance on Malicoat Lane, Duff on the afternoon of Tue., Sept. 22.

When they arrived, Phillips began identifying the people involved with disturbance. One of the individuals told Tolliver his name was Charlie Brown. When he was asked a second time for his name, again he replied Charlie Brown.

Phillips asked the man for his identification and found his name to be Darrell S. Morgan. Phillips then checked Morgan for warrants and found that he had a violation of probation through criminal court in Campbell County.

Morgan was arrested and transported to the jail. During the intake process Corrections Officer Dylan Berry allegedly saw Morgan trying to conceal an object moving toward the toilet. Berry recovered a small clear plastic bag with a crystal-like substance and tobacco.

Morgan, 45, 188 Mayhan Street, Jellico is charged with criminal impersonation, introduction of contraband in a penal institution and violation of probation from Criminal Court.  Morgan remains housed in the Campbell County Jail this morning without bond.  He’s due in court on Oct. 8.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/02/2020-6AM)
