LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Richard Brummitt and Rick Lay bring decades of experience to Wender Furniture Company and the community.

Brummitt specializes in service at Wender Furniture.

Lay has been in the furniture business more than 30 years.

As a high schooler, Brummitt started at Wender’s when he was only 16.  “Tom’s (Robards) been like a daddy to me,” said Brummitt.  He’s been at the downtown furniture mainstay in one form or fashion for years and returned full time in June.  “I’m an appliance repairman; whatever Tom needs,” said  Brummitt.  He works on washers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, stoves and ice makers.  If it’s an appliance, Brummitt can work on it.  He’s at the store Monday through Saturday.

Brummitt’s ready to repair appliances or help deliver furniture.

Lay can be found near the door.

Lay has been in furniture sales for more than half of this life and has known Wender’s owners, Tom and Tommy Robards, for years.  Lay spent 28 years at Vine Avenue Furniture in Knoxville, and when Lowe’s opened in La Follette, he was able to work much closer to his Jacksboro home at the big box store.  Lay came onboard at Wender’s just a few days before Richard did  in June.  The always smiling Lay is ready to help customers shop for their home, business or lake home at Wender Furniture Monday through Saturdays with Wednesday being his day off.

Years of experience makes Brummitt one of the top repairmen around the area.

Lay is ready to help customers select just the right fit for their furniture needs.

The duo can be reached at 423.562.2293 or stop by Wender’s at 204 East Central Avenue near stop light 8 in La Follette.  Wender’s is open Monday through Saturday from 9 am until 5:30 pm.  Connect to the Wender website HERE.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/01/2020-6AM)
