CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Educators around the county have pulled out all the stops to make sure students are being taught during this pandemic.  From online classes to extra safety measures, our educators have met these challenges head on in order to keep area children moving forward with their schooling.  WLAF is celebrating our local educators every Thursday with a feature article.  This week’s education spotlight is on Caryville Elementary School Assistant Principal Raven Sabino.
Raven Sabino said that she feels”truly blessed to be a part of this profession.”
Sabino is in her 10th year as an educator.  She previously taught third and fifth grades at Jacksboro Elementary School and just recently became the assistant principal at Caryville Elementary.  Sabino said she became a teacher because she wanted “to inspire all children that they can accomplish any goals that they set for themselves.”  Her favorite part of teaching is interacting and building relationships with the students.
Sabino said she has seen many good things come out of the pandemic challenges brought on by COVID-19.  “Although this year is different than what we are used to, I have seen our teachers, parents and students work together to make the best of a situation that is out of our control,” Sabino said, adding that she feels”truly blessed to be a part of this profession.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/24/2020-6AM)
