Cougar Superlatives from the victory over Gibbs. WATCH the game on demand from WLAF.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Homecoming on The Hill was quite the night of celebration for Cougars young and old, and Campbell’s football team topped the evening with an impressive win over the Gibbs Eagles.  Campbell spotted Gibbs an early 7- 0 lead only to come back and ground the Eagles 41 to 31.  WATCH the game on demand here.

The Jacksboro Body Shop “Collision of the Game,” and there were many, came down to Skyler Clawson when he lowered the boom on a Gibbs ball carrier saving an apparent touchdown.  He had about a 20-yard running start on Number 10, Clawson.  “The Voice of the Cougars” Les Martin called it a “great hit and tackle.”

The CHET “Play of the Game” was made by Number 3 Makyle Shephard.  Shep picked off a Gibbs pass that secured the Cougars win.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/19/2020-NOON)
