Executive Director

The Campbell County Chamber of Commerce is seeking an experienced, energetic and dynamic Executive Director. In this role, the successful applicant will support area businesses while displaying vision and ability to lead the Chamber in changing times. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with professional demeanor and presence, positive attitude, strong work ethic, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. The Chamber is a private, 501c6 non-profit organization.

The Executive Director is responsible for working with the Board of Directors to oversee the administration, programs and strategic plan, other key duties include growing Chamber memberships and executing Chamber members benefits, fundraising, sales, marketing, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute Chamber strategic plan, grow/coordinate Chamber programs, and facilitate Chamber member benefits
  • Build relationships with state and local leaders to represent local business interests
  • Guide Chamber committees to ensure growth and activity.
  • Lead tourism and RetireTN promotions for Campbell County
  • Public relations to Chamber members; promote local marina, restaurants, ATV travel, etc. through social media/online platforms, print publications and public speaking engagements.
  • Supervise Chamber staff and office operations, including the annual budget.

Qualifications

  • Three+ years of successful Chamber of Commerce or non-profit organizational experience or equivalent business experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated fundraising success
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and experience with membership sales and retention
  • Ability to develop and lead cohesive and productive teams from staff members, Board members and volunteers
  • Experience developing and managing budgets
  • Experience in recruiting and managing staff and volunteers
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as public speaking
  • Experience in social media platforms, newsletters, and website management. Including how to maximize brand awareness through these channels
