LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – One of La Follette’s true ladies was laid to rest this morning.

Just after 11 am, Mildred Hope Parker Stanfield’s funeral procession traveled from Indiana Avenue Baptist Church and out Central Avenue to her final resting place at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Many City of La Follette employees were either taking part in the procession or standing along Central when her motorcade passed by.  Downtown La Follette stood still as she traveled through.

Her grandsons served as her pallbearers  while her four sons were honorary pallbearers.
