JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – It was a big weekend for the Campbell High dynamic fishing duo of Riley Faulkner and Blake Roberts.

The pair of high school fishermen claimed the Bass Pro Shops High School Championship over the weekend on Douglas Lake.  Their team was one of only 25 to qualify for the tourney.  A haul of three fish weighing in at 11.18 pounds lifted them to the title.

VOLLEYBALL

Lady Cougar Volleyball won for the second time in a row Tuesday night on Brown Court.  Against district foe Powell, Campbell claimed the big win in five sets.  CCHS won 3 to 2.

SOCCER

Tuesday night on the Campbell County High School campus, Cumberland Gap visited for a soccer match.  The Lady Panthers left town with a 6 to 2 win.  Campbell is now 1 & 1 on the season.  The Lady Cougars next play at Maynardville on Monday at 6:30 pm against Union County.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/26/2020-7:15AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S PAT PEBLEY)
