Where were you when the electricity went out?  WLAF’s Charlie Hutson was in Downtown La Follette.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A tree fell through a 69 kV transmission line a little after 9:30 am Sunday morning knocking out power to approximately 4,000 LUB customers according to LUB General Manager Kenny Baird.

That line feeds the La Follette District substation.  The downed tree that triggered the outage is in the area of North 13th Street.

Power was fully restored just before 11 am Sunday morning.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/23/2020-1:30PM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLIE HUTSON)
