JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell Cougar Head Football Coach Justin Price just flashes his boy-ish grin and keeps on going.  It’s that grin, positive outlook and strong faith that helped him through last season’s life altering event with his youngest son Jack’s cancer diagnosis.  This season, it’s another life altering event, the pandemic.

“Our mind set from Day One is just being flexible and to be willing to adapt to whatever regulations and rules that we have in front of us.  Our kids and coaches have done a tremendous job with that, and our school and our staff all have been so supportive,” said Price.

Preparation time has been precious.  What Price, his coaches and players do from about May up to the opening kick-off had to be done in just a handful of weeks this season.  “We’ve just not had as much time as we’re used to, said the coach.

Price and his grin, positive outlook and strong faith will be in action Friday night at Newport as he and his 10th edition of Cougar Football christen a new season during the pandemic.  Kick-off between Campbell and Cocke County is 7:30 pm.
