JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Deputy Joseph Weaver answered a welfare check on Queener Road on Aug. 12.  Weaver was familiar with the address due to a prior domestic disturbance call from there a month earlier.

When Weaver arrived, he spoke with Steven Blake Franklin who was the suspect in last month’s disturbance call.  Per the terms of his release from incarceration, Franklin was to have no contact with the victim, according to a report from the Sheriff’s Department.

The victim told Weaver she had been at the residence for two days packing her stuff to move.  When the deputy stepped inside the apartment, he saw a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana in a glass jar sitting on the bedroom floor, two tobacco pipes resembling the smell of marijuana, a set of scales, and multiple dab cartridges used for smoking a synthetic THC concentrate.

Franklin, 25, 736 Queener Road, Jacksboro is charged with possession of schedule VI-controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and stalking.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/20/2020-6AM)
