Lambert spent the night in jail; arraignment is today.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – In less than a month, Jesse Lambert has been served with two narcotics search warrants at his Ellison Road apartment.  Investigators with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division knocked on Lambert’s door early on Monday morning, and this time, the 32-year- old man was taken to jail.  Sheriff Robbie Goins said, “Because Mr. Lambert refuses to follow the law and continues to pollute our county with narcotics, he was arrested and will face the judge today.”

WLAF News learned Monday afternoon that Lambert will have to wait until Tuesday to appear before General Sessions Court Judge Amanda Sammons.  In the meantime, he’ll remain in the Campbell County Jail without bond.

“Our Narcotics Division remains hard at work,” said the sheriff, and this morning was the result of a continuing investigation into the sale of narcotics out of Apartment 5 at 208 Ellison Road.  Investigators with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office completed undercover buys of Schedule I controlled substances, believed to be heroin, from the home.  The initial search warrant was executed on July 21, 2020.

Sheriff’s Investigators located drug paraphernalia which included bags and digital scales.  Schedule I controlled substances, thought to be heroin, Schedule II controlled substance, likely to be methamphetamine and controlled substances IV , believed to be Xanax, inside Lambert’s apartment.

Jesse Gene Lambert was arrested at the scene this morning as a result from the items found during the execution of today’s search warrant.  Investigators say Lambert will still be facing additional charges from previous undercover buys at his La Follette home, and they expect that charges are likely against additional subjects based on the evidence collected and previous buys of narcotics at this address.

“After going before the judge, we will have more information on whether Mr. Lambert will be able to make bond or will have to remain in jail until his court date,” said Sheriff Robbie Goins.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/10/2020-10AM-UPDATED 08/10/2020-4PM)
