JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- In a quiet election, that was over by 10 pm, 3,840 ballots were cast in the uncontested races.  See the complete election breakdown HERE.

The top vote getter of the night was Ron Dilbeck, county road superintendent, with 3,180 votes.

Campbell County Property Assessor Brandon Partin was next with 3,010 votes.  County attorney Joe Coker rounded out the night with 2,901.

In the school board race:

First district- Lisa Fields- 742; Jeffery Scott Ivey received three write in votes.

Second district- Brent Lester- 532

Third district Johnny Byrge- 572

Fourth district- Josh James- 672

Fifth district- Steve Morgan- 411

Thursday was a primary election day for state offices.

Incumbent State Representative Dennis Powers did not have a Republican challenger on Thursday for his Tennessee House of Representatives 36th District seat.  Powers received 2,770 complimentary votes.  However, Powers will have a challenger in November’s general election; Democrat Cassandra “CJ” Mitchell.  Mitchell received 406 votes in Thursday’s primary.

In the District 12 Tennessee Senate race, incumbent Ken Yager was unopposed.  Yager received 2,716 complimentary votes in Campbell County.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED -08/07/2020- 6AM)
