LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) –  Ahead of the start of school, the power of prayer was on display Sunday evening at every Campbell County School.  The idea of a county-wide prayer walk around the campuses came from Sarah Cline, and the rest of the idea is coming together.

Reverend Bo Freeman from Calvary Baptist Church, Pastor Steve Evans from Fincastle Methodist Church and Valley View Coach Jason Freeman all spoke during the prayer event Sunday evening at Valley View Elementary School.

Pastors and their congregations were assigned to schools and invited the students, parents, teachers and others associated with each school  to come out to their school Sunday at 7 pm.  There was a prayer walk around the campuses in preparation of school starting to meet again.

WLAF’s Bailey Ball (left), a 1st Grader, brought her dad, Billy, mom, Jamie, and brother Brody out to pray for her school, Valley View.
Hillcrest Baptist Church Lynn Ray (long sleeve blue shirt) led prayer at Campbell County High School, and below Reverend Zach Lloyd of East La Follette Baptist Church (short sleeve blue shirt) spoke at the Homer Rutherford Learning Academy.  Several people who stayed in their cars also attended both prayer services.
