LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The heavy weight of weekend power outages from Friday’s severe thunderstorm is getting a little lighter for LUB crews this morning.

LUB General Manager Kenny Baird said, “We’re under 300 outages, and we’re making good progress today.  The water system is in good shape once power was restored to the pump station on 25W.”

It’s been a non-stop weekend starting in the 5 pm hour on Friday for the LUB staff.  There were more than 3,700  customers without power at the height of the storm.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/02/2020-10AM)
