LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County’s COVID-19 numbers continue climbing.  After an increase of 25 to 50 active COVID-19 cases in a week, active cases jump to 75 over the weekend.  As of Sunday afternoon’s report, the number of COVID-19 cases during the pandemic according to the Tennessee Department of Health stands at 144 cases confirmed and probable (12 more than on Saturday).  Of the cases, 68 of those patients have recovered while 75 patients are recovering and one patient has died.  Results through Sunday from 4,613 COVID-19 tests in Campbell County have come back negative.

Across Tennessee, the Tennessee Department of Health reports 967 people have died from complications due to the Coronavirus as of Sunday afternoon.  That’s three more deaths since Saturday.  Additionally, 4,244 patients have been hospitalized.

As of Saturday afternoon’s report, 93,936 tests (up 3,140 from Saturday) have come back positive for the virus out of 1,381,859 tests. The number of patients who have recovered from the virus totals 54,730.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/27/2020-6AM)
