LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – At 5:30 pm Monday, the City of La Follette holds its monthly workshop at city hall.  WLAF’s Matthew Moore has the live televised coverage to the right on the Lindsay’s Carpet and Paint Center video player. Today’s agenda includes discussion of the approval of Stan Foust as Infectious Disease Officer and an update on the 2020 Big Creek Fall ATV Festival, the 6th annual event.

Three Fire Department items are up for approval.  All three are about salaries.  Approvals are on the table for Fire Chief Jimmy Pack, Assistant Fire Chief Eddie Hatmaker and Captain Johnny Seal.  All three were promoted following the retirement of Chief Charles Eldridge in early 2020.

Approval for newly promoted Public Works Director Casey Boshears salary is on the agenda.  Boshears takes over for Jim Mullens who retired after more than a decade of service.

There are a couple of resolutions.  The first is to amend the 2020-2021 budget.  The other is a resolution providing in lieu of tax payments from La Follette Utilities Board (LUB).  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/27/2020-6AM)
