Increased chances of strong to severe storms today

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Numerous showers and thunderstorms are in the Campbell County weather forecast today on this Wednesday.   Some of these thunderstorms could be strong to severe with damaging winds being the primary threats, especially north of Interstate 40. In addition, moderate to heavy rainfall is possible with some storms which could yield isolated flash flooding concerns.  The best time frame for the storms in mainly from 4 pm to around sunset.

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected Thursday and Friday with a strong to marginally severe storm or two possible on Thursday. The main threat for Thursday is isolated damaging wind gusts with locally heavy rainfall possible both days.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/22/2020-6AM)
