LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) –  Betina Jones had a rough 24-hours last week, and her troubles are not over yet.  First, on Thursday, she was arrested for disorderly conduct.  Second, in the wee hours of Friday morning, she was arrested for aggravated criminal trespassing.  Since the Friday arrest, she has housed in the Campbell County Jail on a $500 bond.Jones initial encounter with authorities started on June 25 at what at one time was her home on Easter Lane that was ordered sold following divorce proceedings.  However, Jones refused to vacate the property forcing the court to be assigned to take possession of the property in order complete the sale based on the report.

Last Thursday, Campbell County Sheriff’s Sergeant Joe Hopson accompanied Campbell County Clerk and Master Dennis Potter with a writ of possession for 515 Easter Lane in La Follette.  After countless knocks on the front door and announcing their presence, the men tried to unlock the door to no avail and gained entry through a window.  Hopson located Jones who was immediately uncooperative, according to the arrest report.  The Sergeant noted in his report that while removing Jones from the house, she pulled free and ran back inside forcing him to arrest her for disorderly conduct.

The 52-year old Jones was taken to jail and soon made bond.

Hours later, after midnight, Sergeant Josh Jeffers and Deputies Justin Phillips and Andy Ray conducted a property check on the home at 515 Easter Lane and heard a woman’s voice coming from inside the house.  The officers identified themselves and requested the person to come out.  She did not comply prompting them to unlock and enter through the back door.  They found Betina Jones lying on a mattress in the living room floor.  After refusing to get up, Jones was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal trespassing.

The arrest was Jones second in less than 24-hours.  During her second booking, based on the report, she listed her employment as a CIA informant.
