JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Campbell County High School Class of 2020 was a class of firsts.

WLAF’s Charlie Hutson snapped photos on Saturday night and offered a few noteworthy firsts for the Class of 2020.

This is the first class to graduate in the new decade.  It was the first class to graduate during a pandemic.  This is the first high school class to graduate that didn’t know a world without 9/11.

The Campbell County High School Class of 2020 is the first class to graduate in the summer rather than the spring.  Summer officially arrived in Campbell County on June 20, 2020, at 5:44 pm.  Graduation ceremonies began at 8 pm.

The last graduation held on the CCHS football field was in 2011.  It was also the first night time graduation since 1997.
