LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The LaFollette Planning Commission had its first meeting since COVID-19 began last night at city hall.

There were only two items on the agenda.

First, a site plan review was brought forth by Steve Grimm. Grimm was asking to have metal storage units on his property, near Brantley Lane.  Surveyor Dwight Crutchfield had everything that was needed for the commission to review. A storm water study was preformed; water run off was located and a site plan drawn up. The only issue was a parking lot may need to paved. Planning commission member Mark Hoskins voiced his approval contingent that if paving needs to be done that Grimm does it. The motion carried.

Finally, an alley closure at 903 East Walden Street was discussed. Codes officer Daniel Foster said the city is not using it and would recommend abandoning it to two neighbors. Hoskins said there would be no cost of this to the city.  It was voted to send this matter on the city council.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/26/2020-6AM)
