DUFF, TN (WLAF) – The call of suspicious vehicle sent Campbell County Deputy Cody Douglas to the Davis Creek Road area on June 6.

Douglas found a black Mitsibushi Galant in the parking of Woodson Gap Baptist Church. Inside the vehicle was Ronnie Wayne Marlow who was passed out in the passenger seat according to the deputy’s report.

Douglas attempted to wake Marlow to check on him and was finally successful after a few attempts. When Douglas was speaking with him, he noticed Marlow had blood shot watery eyes and a strong smell of alcohol coming from him and appeared to be confused, according to a report from the Sherriff’s Department. Marlow allegedly said he was in North Carolina in a slurred tone. When asked to step out of the vehicle, he had difficulty with his balance. The man told Douglas he had drank six or eight beers all day since noon and was currently sipping on Vodka he had in the vehicle.

Marlow, 65, South 8th Street, LaFollette is charged with public intoxication.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/12/2020-6AM)
